Thank you for purchasing VoxFlow. We will support you in the process of ensuring a successful implementation of the service. This service is based on a number of elements that work together to enable the making of phone calls. These elements include:
- the VoxFlow Converter, or ATA, which is typically already configured by VoxFlow and delivered with this Welcome letter.
- a broadband (e.g. DSL, Cable, T-1) Internet connection from an Internet Service Provider,
an available network port (Ethernet, RJ-45) on your switch, hub, router or “modem”.
- an IP Address, provided either automatically (dynamically / DHCP) by your router, or as a fixed IP address from your ISP.
- a standard phone, most standard key systems, including digital ones, or standard FAX equipment.
If you now have all of these elements, you are ready to proceed to consideration of your network characteristics and operation of your Voice Mail system. All other aspects of telephone usage should be familiar to you, including the familiar Dial Tone and the features; Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Caller ID, 3-way Calling, and Call Return.

| Voicemail Service |
VoxFlow service includes an advanced, hosted Voice Mail system with an English speaking female voice keypad interface. The service can be configured with your own voice and outgoing messages for both “unavailable” and “busy” modes. The system is hosted on the network and “catches calls” and saves voice messages for you whether your Converter is plugged in or not. The system can store messages for you, and you can organize them into two other “Voice Folders”. In addition, the Voice Mail system will use a system called “Watson” to e-mail your voice mail messages (as .wav file attachments) to you at the address provided to VoxFlow with your order. You will need to contact VoxFlow Support to change this email address.
To access the Voice Mail system’s Telephone Interface:
- On any phone, dial your own VoxFlow number, when you hear your voicemail push 0, and then enter your 10-digit phone number.
- Enter your password when prompted.

| Limitations |
The VoxFlow Basic Service is an excellent service, but it does have some important limitations you should be aware of:
- The service does not currently have 911 service. You cannot call 911 and get help in emergencies. You should make a note of the local numbers of the police and fire departments and have them handy. You may want to keep a traditional phone line for this purpose until the VoxFlow 911 service is operational.
- You phone service will not work without power. Like cordless phones, VoxFlow will not work without power. A UPS (uninterruptible power supply) can be used to provide temporary power to your Internet router, and your Converter, in the event of a general outage.
